Damage Policy for Minicampervans

Accidents can happen when renting our mini campervans. Whether it’s small scratches or larger impacts on the van’s body, it’s important to know what steps to take.

What to Do If Damage Occurs

If any damage happens during your rental, it must be reported to Campervan Bergen AS immediately via:

Make sure to include photos or videos of the damage. This is required as per our rental agreement to ensure a swift and transparent resolution.

Why Documentation is Important

We highly recommend taking pictures or videos of the van:

At Pickup: Before you start your journey, take photos of the front, rear, and both sides of the van.

At Drop-off: Repeat the process when returning the van.

These pictures are essential in case of disputes regarding any damage. Our staff may only discover certain scratches or paintwork issues after the van has been cleaned a day or two after return. Your documentation will help clarify the situation.

Guidelines for Damage Handling

To ensure transparency and prevent misunderstandings, follow these simple steps:

1. Before Starting Your Journey: Take clear, timestamped photos/videos of the van’s exterior.

2. When Returning the Van: Repeat this process at drop-off.

These images will be the basis for any insurance claims or compensation if damage is found.

Insurance Policies for 2025 Season

Our campervans come with insurance coverage, and the self-risk fees vary depending on your chosen plan:

CDW Insurance (included in the rental)

•Maximum self-risk fee: €1000

•Deposit required before pickup: €600

SCDW Extra Insurance (optional at €15/day)

•Maximum self-risk fee: €400

•Deposit required before pickup: €400

In case of any damage, the self-risk fee will be applied based on your documentation (photos/videos from pickup and drop-off).

•Take photos or videos both at pickup and drop-off.

•Inform us immediately if anything happens or if you notice any issues during your rental.

These simple routines will help avoid any misunderstandings and ensure a seamless rental process for everyone.
